With all the Bigfoot / Ketchum DNA headlines flying around here is a good opportunity to learn more about Sasquatch.
Every year hundreds of people gather in Eastern Ohio for one of the world’s premiere Bigfoot events, The Ohio Bigfoot Conference. This year will be no exception. With a great speaker lineup of Loren Coleman, Dr. Esteban Sarmiento, Thom Powell, Mark Maisel and Dr. Russ Jones the Salt Fork State Park lodge is sure to be packed from end to end on Saturday night. Each year this event seems to grow with more attendees and more events, it’s become so much more than a conference, it’s an entire weekend of activities. For this year, Marc DeWerth and the Ohio Bigfoot Organization have scheduled a full weekend of Bigfooting and fun.
Friday April 12, 2013
An advanced hike will be offered during the early afternoon at one of the states more active Sasquatch areas. The hike promises miles of trail hiking with hills, creeks and other challenging obstacles that will leave you dirty, sweaty and grinning from ear to ear.
Later in the evening there will be a VIP dinner where you can mingle with the conference presenters and hear stories of adventures and intrigue. This event is a “can’t miss” evening and recommended by all of those who have attended in the past.
The evening caps off with a meet and greet at the lodge. This is your opportunity to share your own experiences with the speakers, friends and all those who attend. During this informal get-together many will share their knowledge of all things Bigfoot.
Saturday April 13, 2013
The conference starts at 2:00PM in the main lodge meeting room. The lobby will be filled with vendor tables selling a wide variety of Sasquatch related items. Be sure to arrive early and check out all the great merchandise. The lodge will also be offering lunch specials before the conference begins. The speaker presentations are always interesting and educational with time at the end to ask your own questions.

The Ohio Bigfoot Festival runs all day long with great events for the whole family. There will be short, intensive seminars on casting, tracking, surveillance, backpack gear, interviewing, selecting search areas and networking/developing leads. During the festival a cookout sponsored by the United States Bigfoot Research Association will offer plenty of food and drinks to help keep you going. The day’s events end with a family friendly hike at one of Salt Forks own Sasquatch hotspots where local researchers will share some of their experiences and tips.
So, come down to Salt Fork State Park on Friday April 12th, 2013 for the conference and stay for the weekend, you don’t want to miss it.
